Retreat in Everyday Life
According to The Spiritual Exercises of Ignatius of LoyolaSpiritual directors will find space in this retreat setting for individual spiritual growth, while gaining the skills to gently walk directees through the Spiritual Exercises. As the student nurtures the practices of repetition, imitation of Christ, and intimate union with God, they simultaneously learn to walk with another, serving as a guide in their directee's journey through the Spiritual Exercises.
Prerequistes
- Basic knowledge of Scripture & theology
- Demonstration of an understanding and practice of the spiritual life
- Training in spiritual direction with practice for 2-3 years overseeing 3 or more directees
- Written recommendation from spiritual direction supervisor or peer supervisor
- Full completion of the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises with written recommendation from the director giving the Exercises
- Interview with instructors and Kairos faculty member
- Evidence of holistic maturity, inclusive of spiritual maturity and life experience
- One directee ready to take the Spiritual Exercises

Cost
